Space Invasion

Space Invasion is a game we made for GMTK Game Jam 2023. To fit the theme of "reversed roles," we made a game of "Space Invaders" where you play as the alien horde. You get to design your horde, then use it to destroy as many defending human ships as you can. We kinda ran low on time, so the original game is not balanced (we were planning on a currency system for building your horde) or have all the features we wanted (we wanted a scoring system), but we still wanted to show our work, whatever state it was in. We added a lot the weekend after to flesh out the game to something more like what we were aiming for, so if you're not judging for the game jam, try that version! The game jam submission version is "GMTK2023_SpaceInvadersReversal.zip", while the more finished version is "GMTK2023_Space_Invasion_PostMortem.zip".
